About me. Hhmmm? Where to begin?
I’ve always wanted to live a fun, sexy and exciting life. But when my clumsiness left me with an aversion to high heels, my fear of wardrobe malfunctions cut out those plunging necklines, and my skydiving instructor politely suggested I take up golf; I decided the only way to keep from breaking my neck would be to write about such a life.
Of course, it took a good thirty years to come to this conclusion. But hey, it’s never too late to live. Right?
Not until I added mom to my list of achievements did I truly sit down and evaluated what I was doing. I was on a fast road going absolutely nowhere. I finally took the time to write out some of my goals and came up with a Life List (an idea I found on Stephanie Bond’s website).
After reviewing this list, I realized I'm extremely greedy. Why? Because I want to experience it all.
That's when I decided I wanted to become a writer. In this career, I could be anything I dreamed of along with each of my characters. Of course, I didn't think it could hurt to try a few of the adventures I planned to put my characters through. So, I jumped out of an airplane to see how my heroine might react (with an instructor and a parachute attached).
That’s when I truly began to live.
Now, five years later, I’m the Pro-Liaison for my local romance writer’s chapter and am working on completing my fourth manuscript. Although this road has been full of twists, turns, bumps and potholes; I’m finally getting the feel of it.
As my writing journey continues, I hope one day I can share my adventures with all of you.
